The cab driver

We see him everyday
Driving us all the way

We complain of his speed
And call him a weed
He races coz he knows
If he’s late there will be no doles.

He has hungry mouths to feed
And that is why the speed!
He works overtime,
To meet his expenses in line.

Do we consider all these?
Before calling him a weed!
Is he just a means to an end?
Or do we thank him for the errand?

The need to reach safe
Is something we crave
He needs the cash
and that is why the rash

Both needs don't match
Hence there is a clash
Who is to decide
If hunger is important or a safe ride!
